This piece grew out of a sketchbook moment where images and thoughts started to overlap. The close-up of the mouth suggests speech or expression, while the small red marks and the drawn hand introduce a more personal, almost bodily gesture. I often like to leave fragments of words or notes inside the work. They act like traces of a thought that appeared while drawing. Here, the letters and small marks hint at something that is about to be said — or perhaps something that was better left unsaid. The image keeps the feeling of that moment: spontaneous, slightly humorous, and a little uncertain. • Poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish. Scratch, crack, and warp resistant. • Vibrant, long-lasting colors with water-based HP Latex inks and UV protection. • Solid wooden frame from renewable sources, 4 cm deep.
