These small pieces began as parts of larger painted surfaces. I cut them into new shapes and introduced circular openings that interrupt the compositions. The holes create a shift in how the fragments are read — something is missing, but at the same time a new space appears.
I enjoy working with these kinds of transformations. By cutting, rearranging and isolating sections, the original paintings turn into small independent works, each with its own balance of colour, texture and movement.
Together they feel like fragments from a larger visual field — small signals that hint at something beyond the edge of the frame.
