This work grew out of a sketchbook page where faces slowly started to appear — one after another — until they formed a kind of small crowd. Beneath them sits a single figure, looking slightly overwhelmed, thoughtful, or perhaps just listening. I like how the drawing holds both feelings at once: the presence of many voices and the quiet space of an individual mind. The work plays with the idea of how we move through groups, expectations and impressions while still trying to remain ourselves. The piece keeps the raw quality of the original page — quick lines, coloured pencil, paint and collage — capturing the moment when observation turns into a small story. • Acid- and lignin-free and made to last. • The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth. • Textured matte surface that enhances depth without losing clarity. • Handmade wooden frame from Italy.
