Stratocaster
Stratocaster is a brooch I created in 2019 during lockdown, at a time when I had no access to the studio. Instead, I began working with readymades, found objects, and whatever materials I could gather at home.
As a mother of two, lockdown often brought tricky moments with a six- and a four-year-old. This piece was born from that experience — a humorous response, an imaginary tool that could somehow control tone and volume.
My daughter Lisa modelled the brooch, adding a playful layer to its story.
Stratocaster was later exhibited in New York in 2024, and it has since entered a private collection in Chicago.
